Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture helps to reduce the signs of aging by improving muscle tone and simulating collagen production. Acupuncture also tackles underlying health problems which affect the way we look; such as fatigue, poor digestion, stress and hormone imbalances. Acupuncture is a safe, non-surgical and holistic way to obtain a radiant complexion and minimise fine lines and wrinkles.

  • 2. How does it work?

Facial acupuncture increases the circulation of blood to the face which improves muscle tone, skin elasticity and helps to drain excess puffiness, particularly from the eye region. Patient specific selection of acupuncture points helps to relax particular areas of tension in the face which leads to the formation of wrinkles.

Body acupuncture points are also used in the treatments to address broader health problems such as tiredness, stress, dry or oily skin, water retention, sluggish digestion and hormonal imbalances which can all affect the way you look.

    3. How many treatments will I need?

The impact of acupuncture builds over time, therefore in order to get lasting results, 12 weekly treatments are required. After the initial course of treatments has been completed, you are recommended to have maintenance treatments every couple of months.

    4. What happens during the treatment?

During the initial treatment, a detailed consultation will take place in order to identify the particular facial regions that you would like us to focus on. In addition, you will be asked about other aspects of your health (e.g. diet, sleep patterns, digestion) in order to get a clear understanding of any health matters which may have an impact on your well-being and appearance.

    5. Does it hurt?

Facial acupuncture needles are incredibly fine, sterile and disposable and patients rarely even feel the insertion. Needles are left in place for 20 minutes, but the whole treatment lasts for 1.5hrs and is incredibly relaxing.
