Regular daily use of Active Shield Lotion SPF 30+ helps prevent skin damage caused by UV radiation while reducing the risk of cancer, without the potential to develop irritation commonly triggered by certain sunscreen ingredients. Active Shield Lotion SPF 30+ has certain water-resistant properties that may help prevent it from running off the skin during moderate, outdoor activities. In all cases, it is highly recommended that any sunscreen product be re-applied, as often as needed, to achieve continual protection from UV damage.

How does it work?

Active Shield Lotion SPF 30+ contains non-sensitizing, non-irritating nanoparticles of micronized zinc oxide that act as effective blockers of harmful UVA and UVB rays, both responsible for sunburn, visible signs of extrinsic skin aging and different forms of skin cancer. This light, sheer sunscreen lotion provides optimal sun blocking efficacy, even during outdoor activities, while achieving the most elegant aesthetics qualities. Increasingly, sunscreens have evolved from products designed primarily for sunburn prevention to products intended to not only achieve this objective, but also to prevent the development of signs of extrinsic skin aging, premalignant tumors and skin cancer. Clinical studies have documented SPF 29 or greater significantly reduces the development of premalignant keratoses, incidence of skin cancers and other photosensitive conditions.
