Joining our extensive range of advanced injectable treatments, Juvéderm® Volite is a great addition because it has the capabilities to improve the quality of your skin, with long-lasting results. While it consists of a hyaluronic acid gel, Volite differs from dermal fillers in that it nourishes your skin from within once it has been injected into the middle layers of your dermis. It conditions rather than volumises.
Volite can be administered to the face, hands, neck and décolletage to give your skin the rejuvenating boost that it needs. The hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate your skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and increase elasticity through the stimulation of collagen production. Each treatment is performed by a highly trained and experienced Medicetics doctor, with regular treatments recommended every 6-9 months in order to see optimum results.
At Medicetics, we will take the time to understand your needs and concerns in regards to your skincare so that an appropriate and effective treatment plan can be created specifically for you. Certain precautions need to be considered prior to your treatment, as well as certain aftercare necessities, all of which will be discussed with you in depth during your consultation. Volite is ideal for patients of all ages and skin types. 1. What is Juvéderm® VOLITE?
VOLITE is a low concentration hyaluronic acid which is administered into the skin when injected. VOLITE is known to improve skin quality, skin hydration and skin elasticity. It is also very effective in improving skin smoothness and skin complexion.
2. How long do results last with VOLITE?
After one treatment with Juvéderm® VOLITE, the effects last approximately 6 months.
3. Does it hurt?
Some patients experience discomfort, but if there is any pain it is usually tolerable due to the fine needle used and also the option of a local anaesthetic cream pre-procedure.
4. When will I notice the results from Juvederm Volite?
Best results can often be seen 2-4 weeks post treatment. You will notice brighter, firmer skin, usually a smoother feel to the skin, and improvement in fine lines and wrinkles.
5. What are the side effects?
The main side-effects with Volite treatment are from the injections themselves, which can cause slight bruising and swelling in some cases for a few hours post treatment.
6. Is there any downtime?
Downtime will only occur if your skin bruises very easily. Some bruising is to be expected, but this is usually minor and easily covered with makeup. Some areas, such as the neck or under the eyes, tend to bruise more readily, and thinner skin will tend to bruise more easily.
7. Who is suitable for treatment with Juvederm Volite?
- a younger patient seeking improved skin quality and brightness
- a patient suffering with certain types of acne scarring
- a patient of any age who has previously had treatment for volume correction, but still needs improvement in complexion, wrinkles and fine lines
- a patient with very dry or leather-like skin
8. How does Volite compare with skin moisturisers?
Regular facial moisturiser adds a layer that may hydrate the skin on a superficial level but adds little to skin vitality, whereas Volite nourishes the skin from within, providing deep hydration.
Some skin products contain hyaluronic acid and are promoted to improve skin hydration, however very little will be absorbed into the skin, due to the size of the HA molecules, so the benefit is limited.
By delivering hyaluronic acid directly into the skin with Volite, it has been clinically proven that markers for skin hydration (AQP3 and GAG) are significantly increased.
9. Is Volite safe?
Treatment with Juvederm Volite is very safe if administered and injected by a qualified and experienced doctor or practitioner, such as a member of our team at Medicetics.
Prices for Juvederm Volite range from £400-£540.
The whole appointment duration will be approximately 45 minutes.
