Banish The Blemishes With Excel V – The Best Treatment For Rosacea

What is rosacea?

Did you know that 65% of Celtic people suffer with some form of rosacea? That’s huge!

Rosacea is a type of skin condition – it’s a huge umbrella term that covers many different types of facial redness, from mild flushing to visible blood vessels, permanent redness, stinging and acne. Rosacea is a complex condition and its exact cause is still not fully understood, which has made it very hard to treat in the past. However, there are some commonly known, typical triggers to avoid. Stress, sunlight exposure, certain foods, exercise and weather conditions have all be known to trigger flushes in rosacea sufferers. If you suffer with rosacea, it is also advised to keep pillowcases fresh and changed regularly.

There are creams, gels and medications that your GP or dermatologist can prescribe to try and control your symptoms over a long period of time, but at Medicetics we have a far better solution- the Excel V Laser.

What is Excel V?

Excel V is a type of laser treatment that uses a combination of two wavelengths in order to penetrate deep into the skin. It is the most advanced and powerful laser technology of its kind that is currently available on the market, which is why we are very excited to be able to offer it to our patients at Medicetics. We are one of only two clinics currently offering this treatment in the UK! Excel V is suitable for use all over the body, not just the face but also legs and decollete. It is ideal for treating many vascular skin concerns alongside rosacea, for example birthmarks and spider veins, with highly effective results.excel v

Excel V is a relatively painless, non-invasive treatment that involves the use of controlled pulses of light energy. The light energy coagulates the blood within the veins, destroying the vessel walls with optimum precision. A built-in cooling mechanism ensures that the skin doesn’t get too hot during treatment. Due to the power of the combined wavelengths, most patients only require 2-3 treatments to fully treat their rosacea, with each treatment lasting around 15-30 minutes. The results from a single treatment can be immediate and there is very little downtime post-treatment, which means you can get back to your busy schedule straight away.
